Thoughts with our buddy Kai in Boston. Hoping she and her friends are safe on campus and anyone they knew who went to watch the marathon are back safe and sound. Bad day in a great city.

is there life on mars →
bunnybundy: christhecreep: The man behind the private space project dubbed Mars One is looking for people to travel to Mars, but he’s not offering a return ticket. “The technology to get humans to Mars and keep them alive there exists,” Bas Lansdorp told Day 6 host Brent Bambury in an interview that aired this week on CBC Radio. “The technology to bring humans from Mars back to Earth simply...

Report: Humanity Leaves the Solar System — 35... →
ifuckinglovespace: Voyager did not leave the Solar System. Edward Stone, project scientist on the Voyager team, said, “It is the consensus of the Voyager science team that Voyager 1 has not yet left the solar system or reached interstellar space. Zoom in and out of the Milky Way, look at specific stars, planets, etc. Click on a star or planet and get a close up view, learn more about it.  But, more than being fun, it’s gorgeous. Earth is at the center of it because, well, that’s where we are. So it’s not LITERALLY the center but it’s our reference point.

SpaceX Grasshopper/Johnny Cash Hover Slam →
New video from SpaceX from Saturday’s Grasshopper test. 24 story hover and precise landing of SpaceX’s Grasshopper. Very important development work going on here. Plus, it’s really cool to watch that sucker just hover there. Amazing. Can’t embed the video, but I highly suggest you watch. Holy crap! I completely missed the  cowboy on the rocket.
