Um, just want to let everyone know this is from the Spirit rover a few years back, NOT from MSL. This has been my computer’s wallpaper at work for a few months. I don’t think MSL will do color shots for a while.
Seriously I have seen this post on my dash 9,000 times. Nothing about this photo isn’t amazing, but it’s not Curiosity’s. Facts, get ya some. :)
Look. It’s a photo Curiosity took of the Mars surface during its Seven Minutes of Terror! Lucky for Curiosity it only had to bear seven minutes. It was much worse for everyone else who bought tickets.
